If Workday had a platform that allowed you to log in and see all of the jobs you’ve applied to via Workday it may not be so bad to have to upload my resume AND fill in every resume component. Creating a seperate account for every job though…. Come on. Greenhouse for the win. 🥇

I loathe Workday and believe that whoever is responsible for that monstrosity should be sentenced to life imprisonment spending all their waking hours filling in all the various fields in Workday.

To all the companies that use Workday,Workday is a bad job application experience. It consistently fails to interpret resume contents and since many company implementations require work history to be entered into Workday as well, that puts a lot of time and manual effort on the applicant.I personally have decided not to manually fill out Workday anymore. If it fails to ingest my resume, the recruiters can review my resume, which is what should happen anyways. If your company is using Workday work history entries to auto-filter applicants, you are going to miss out on very qualified candidates who either do what I do, or decide not to apply due to time overhead. In 2023, it is quite surprising to find that companies do not understand that the first thing a potential new hire experiences is the job application process. If it is broken and dated, then what does that say about the company's approach to IT, employees, or culture?Let's have the discussion about the best ways to intake job applications.

Is there a Product worse than Workday for applying jobs ? First - you have 100 workdays for 100 companies and not one of them fetches data using same email of a candidate from other workdays, Why not ? Workday was kind, so they gave an option to fetch application data from resume. 90/100 times incorrect ! Job achievements will come into the company name and company name - where are they ? ATS can scan my resume, god forbid workday, they never will. Now I am thinking, Is Workday selected by companies to ensure that only those candidates with passion, patience and rigor can apply as this definitely is a birth control equivalent of job application portal. 😀#Workday #PleaseImprove #MondayHumour

What if Workday opened a candidate portal, that you create / maintained all of your information that linked directly to hiring companies sites with Workday. Your only prompts would be exceptions of missing information - employer direct questions. The reverse, what if every company with Workday open position requests were also posted for direct applications. LinkedIn has Easy Apply. Example: Apply with Workday Profile ?The career world would be a better place.Think about it: if you have 40 letters to mail, do you walk to the mailbox once or 40 times. Workday

Something I noticed on job applications submitted via Workday: There are two different statuses while you've been submitted but haven't been called for an interview or rejected yet. One is "In Progress". Based on what I've read elsewhere online, this just means you're submitted and in the system. Another is "Under consideration". Based on that aforementioned reading, this means you've cleared some kind of initial screening. (If a user or employee of Workday could confirm this, that'd be great.) #jobsearch #jobhunt #jobapplication

Is my Application Status on Workday a Good Sign?Source: https://lnkd.in/g6dG8iuE #jobapplication #careeradvice #jobsearch #applicationstatusHey there! 🌟 So you've just applied for a job, and now you're stuck wondering what that "under consideration" status on Workday actually means. Don't worry, you're not alone! Many job seekers face the same dilemma, so let's break it down together and find some actionable solutions to put your mind at ease.### Understanding the Application Status 🤔When your application status changes to "under consideration" on Workday, it typically means that the hiring team is reviewing your application and considering you as a potential candidate for the job. This is definitely a positive step in the recruitment process, but it doesn't guarantee that you'll be selected for an interview or the position.### What to Do Next 🚀1. **Stay Patient:** Waiting to hear back from the hiring team can be nerve-wracking, but remember that these processes can take time. Give it a few days or even weeks before following up on your application. 2. **Research the Company:** Use this time to learn more about the company, its culture, and the...

I wonder if companies are aware how many amazing candidates they’re missing out on because they’re using Workday for their recruiting processes. There are so many chronic issues in this system, and for some reason the feedback from the users doesn’t matter to Workday. Things that need to be addressed: - Creating a new profile for every company you apply for [As someone who’s actively looking for a job, filling out a form every time is frustrating]- Autofill from resume [I have tried multiple resumes in multiple formats - it always makes mistakes and you always have to re-fill the form]- Laggy interface [Especially when you’re filling out info about your education - the interface lags, whole page jumps, etc.]I truly believe that if companies switched to Lever, Greenhouse Software or a similar software their success rate would be significantly higher.

In my job search, I have lost count of how many workday accounts I have to have to apply to multiple companies. I have lost count of how many other accounts I have for this company's job site, or that company's job site. I do not get inundated with emails, but wish I could go to a site, click on jobs/careers/Hiring now link, fill everything out, upload my resume, and click on submit, without having to create a username and password, that I will not remember several months from now. This goes back to the user experience in an earlier post I made on linked in.

Has anyone here ever figured out a way to properly format a resume for sites that accept applicants using Workday?I have tried using, txt, word, pdf and have encountered the following issues. My issues with Workday1. Dates past 2020 are not recognized2. Summary sections under each job listing seem to get arbitrarily truncated3. Every single company that uses this system requires a new login with re-entry of the SAME information.

The results are in on Workday for online applications.70% of respondents say they won't apply for jobs that use Workday as an online application. I suspect that the length of the manual form is the barrier to entry. Workday does not autofill your job information from your resume like other online applications do. Thus, you may be losing good candidates who expect their employer to provide a relatively easy way to apply for the job.
