New members must choose a primary care provider (PCP) in the IEHP network. The IEHP network is a group of doctors, hospitals and other providers who work with IEHP. You must choose a PCP within 30 days from the time you become an IEHP member. If you do not choose a PCP, IEHP will choose one for you. If you now go to providers who are not in the IEHP network (out-of-network), in certain cases you may get continuity of care and be able to go to them for up to 12 months. If your providers do not join the IEHP network by the end of 12 months, you will need to switch to providers in the IEHP network.
